Introduced at BaselWorld 2015, the Globemaster is the first watch to be fitted with the newly conceived 'Master Chronometer' label, indicating that every single watch from this collection has passed the certification process that Omega developed in cooperation with METAS. It's movement are the new calibers 8900 and 8901, with the latter enjoying a more luxurious finish for use in precious metal models.
For the design of the Globemaster, Omega looked back at their history and took cues from different noteworthy chronometers. The 'pie-pan' dial is one of the features most loved in the Constellation models from the fifties and early sixties. The ridged bezel also appeared on models made in the sixties and seventies. The Globemaster name too comes from Omega's rich past: it was used in the fifties to market the first generation of the Constellation collection in the United States.
The present model, ref. 130.30.39.21.03.001 has a stainless steel case and a blue dial with sunburst finish. The bezel on this version is made of tungsten carbide. It is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet.
